
Our Journey
2022
Team Foundation
Our club was founded with a strong focus on aviation and aerospace technologies, aiming to design and develop advanced aerial platforms through hands-on engineering. Over time, our efforts evolved toward autonomous systems, where we specialized in perception, decision-making, and mission-based autonomy by integrating avionics, control algorithms, computer vision, and artificial intelligence, making autonomy a core element of our engineering identity.
METU VTOL 2022
Our team participated in METU VTOL 2022, marking our first experience in developing a vertical take-off and landing unmanned aerial vehicle. This competition helped us gain valuable hands-on experience in aerodynamic design, flight control systems, and team-based engineering workflows.

2023
Teknofest 2023 International UAV
In the International UAV category, we developed a fully custom aerial platform with an emphasis on flight stability, mission planning, and ground station integration. This experience significantly strengthened our hardware–software integration capabilities.

METU VTOL 2023
Building on the experience gained in the previous year, we competed in METU VTOL 2023 with an improved aircraft and refined control algorithms. By incorporating lessons learned from earlier designs, we achieved third place while focusing on performance optimization and mission safety, further maturing our overall system design.

2024
Teknofest 2024 International UAV
At Teknofest 2024 International UAV Competition, our team competed in an international environment, focusing on advanced autonomous flight capabilities and mission-based system design. By achieving a Performance Award, we demonstrated robust real-world operation while improving perception, navigation, and decision-making algorithms under realistic operational constraints.

METU VTOL 2024
For METU VTOL 2024, we introduced a more modular and maintenance-friendly aircraft architecture. Competing with three separate teams, we achieved both first and second place by integrating advanced sensors and enhanced autonomous flight features, significantly increasing operational efficiency and mission success.

2025
RoboNation SUAS 2025
We represented our team on the international stage at SUAS 2025. Throughout the competition, we conducted extensive work on computer vision, mission-based autonomy, and real-time data processing under realistic operational conditions.

Teknofest 2025 International UAV
At Teknofest 2025, we leveraged the knowledge and experience gained from previous competitions to develop a more intelligent, reliable, and mission-driven system. Competing with two different teams, we earned two Performance Awards, marking a major milestone in strengthening both our engineering approach and team culture.

2026
RoboNation RoboBoat 2026
At RoboBoat 2026, we showcased our autonomous surface vehicle on the international stage, integrating computer vision, autonomous decision-making, and real-time sensor processing to accomplish complex maritime missions under dynamic environmental conditions.
